![]() Welp, since I burned almost every counterargument possible, I'd like to here what you come up with next. Kinda like getting used to the numbers in the first place. Everyone here could play without them if they worked at it. You can play the game effectively without them, you just have to actually try. Also, if you have that "1 tick here, 1 tick there" philosophy, you should be able to play even without the numbers. Then why wouldn't you remove the faulty system that creates rulers to exist unless you support them? Makes no sense. If you don't like the food at a restaurant, do you go back? Of course not. ![]() You've identified the source of the issue, but you want to keep it. Without them, no one would have thought to go max power, one tick across, and repeat. Besides, you clearly illustrate my point. Every little thing matters, so removing these numbers, in my opinion, is what is necessary. I dare you to find the difference in your nozzle between 89, 90, and 91. Without the numbers, rulers are discouraged. Once again, people can't accept me thinking differently. I read that quoted section and disagreed with it. '.it wouldn't help with problem because people could still just go to 100,90 and then count how many clicks they need to move to get their shot.'Īnd anyway removing the main game mechanic of a game at version 0.9.5 is pretty ridiculous. No one has ever even responded to this idea, indicating no one is interested in it. Or you could just make the weapons have different weights, but no one really cares about that anyways. Obviously, gravity would have to be changed a little so old rulers still don't work, but that's how to do it. There is no good reason to keep the angle numbers when gameplay would be just as interesting without them. I personally would welcome that as a way to spruce up gameplay. It takes real skill, however, to memorize what the white bar looks like for any given shot. Angle numbers are used to abuse the game. If you ever listen to Clegger's Twitch, he literally counts out loud "89 88 87 86 85 84 83 82, let's decrease the power a little, there." This is a quote VERBATIM from his stream on 3/21. Why would we ever want to keep the source of a problem. because they all landed in the same place every time. But angle numbers are EXACTLY how rulers came into being in the first place! Someone did a shot max power at 89, 88, etc. ![]() Also a quick shot mode would be another cool mode that could give a little extra xp as well, imo. I could however see that as a new optional mode maybe that could provide a little xp buff. Besides it wouldn't help with problem because people could still just go 100,90 and then count how many clicks they need to move to get their shot.
